Prayers needed....

Yesterday (July 2) was extremely busy and exhausting for us all. We went to the registration office at 0900 and Mishiah is officially ours now!! Though much more paperwork must be completed we are now officially recognized by the country of China as her parents. After that we went to the notary's office to notarize some other documents. Then, after a quick lunch we made a 2.5 hour drive by van to Anyang (Mishiah's birth city...or the city she was found in anyway). We spent about 15 to 20 minutes applying for Mishiah's passport (Henan province just recently made the requirement that passport applications must be initiated in the birth city). Then we travelled back to Zhengzhou but due to complete gridlock on just about all the streets in Zhengzhou it took about 4 hours to get back to the hotel....so we didn't get back to the room until about 8 pm.

Wednesday was a recovery day but the mild cough Mishiah had when we picked her up has turned into a persistent cough and some wheezing. We talked with our group guide and she got us some medicine but didn't think she had pneumonia. We just need all your prayers alot right now. She is pretty miserable and if she is not being held by Megan she's crying. She doesn't want to have anything to do with anyone else right now...and we can't really tell if it's part of the grieving process or being sick or a combination.

She's down for the night but if her condition doesn't improve by morning we will try again to go to the doctor and have her looked at. It's hard because we don't know what she's normally like or what she might act like if she's sick. It's also hard to tell if what she has is entirely sickness since Lucius and some of the others are experiencing severe allergies (from smog, smoke, dust, pollen...not sure) and are also coughing, congested, and feeling miserable as well.

Anyway, if you all could pray specifically for the health of Mishiah, that she would get to feeling better, we would appreciate it very much.
