Lucius had a training for work scheduled for this week since last fall....so we all decided to spend another week in a hotel. At least it is in Colorado so we got to get out into some fresh mountain air.
Mishiah couldn't sleep on Sunday night so we just left at 1:30 in the morning....and she slept most of the way in the car....go figure.
When Lucius got out of class on Tuesday evening we went to one of our favorite spots (Elk Creek). The girls make the 4th generation of Duerksens to regularly visit this area. Hiked a little, played in the creek, and geocached. Also took a pic of a mark on a tree near the campsite from 4 years ago (Haniah's initials):

Azriah and Lucius went up to the summit from the parking lot. The parking lot was at over 14,100 so the summit was probably near 14,400. The air was pretty thin but Azriah kept reassuring Lucius that "we can make it".

The other girls stayed in the car (the temps at that elevation dropped into the 40s by the time we headed back to the hotel).
